Youth Girls & Women's Football

There is a lot of excitement in Youth girls and Women's Football right now with the first AFL competition starting for Women in 2017.

The Raiders Girls team has been running for nearly five years now, and in that time the games development has grown from a weekly skills sessions, to a competition that now includes teams from Whorouly, Rutherglen, Lavington and Thurgoona.

There is no better time to jump on board with the Raiders Girls team.

This year with the efforts of Dan, Kerri, Skye and myself we are pushing to have the Wodonga Raiders Girls team be more welcomed into the Wodonga Raiders Sports Club fold, and with that push, have training nights on the main ground, home games either Sunday after the Junior football club games or Saturday after the seniors games.

With this we are also going to have the use of the club rooms, change rooms and club function facilities. The Wodonga Raiders Girls Team finally have a home.

AFL and local governments have also put funding into the Club to build a purpose built women's change rooms to be shared with the Netball Club with construction to commence in 2017.

There is a lot of excitement for the Wodonga Raiders Girls Team for 2017 so join up its going to be a great season.

The Wodonga Raiders are a huge part of our local community. Amalgamating the Football & Netball Clubs in the O&M league, Junior Boys teams in the North East Border Junior Football League and Youth Girls Team in the Youth Girls League.
